Career Opportunities

Cyprus offers promising career opportunities for international students both during and after their studies. Students are allowed to work part-time while studying, 20 hours per week During Academic Period and During Holiday Periods (summer break, Christmas holidays and Easter holidays) maximum: 38 hours per week (full-time). One of the most important rules is- before completing 6 months of studies, students are strictly prohibited from working in Cyprus.
Graduates are now allowed to extend their stay for up to one additional year under their student residence status. After 5 years of continuous legal residence in Cyprus (50% study + work), international graduates may become eligible for:

• Permanent Residency – based on employment or investment criteria
• Cypriot Citizenship – subject to residency duration, language skills, and integration requirements.
