Stipendium Hungaricum, the Hungarian Government’s most prestigious fully funded scholarship for international students. Bangladesh usually received up to 150 seats each year in across various programs. It is truly a life-changing initiative covering 100% of university costs, accommodation, medical insurance and monthly allowance so students can focus entirely on their academic and personal growth.
The program is based on educational cooperation agreements signed between the Ministries responsible for education and Hungary Govt. For Bangladesh it is “Secondary and Higher Education Division, Ministry of Education”.
While Studying in Hungary students can work part-time 30 Hours/Week during their academic program and outside of term time like summer break, Christmas holidays are allowed to work full time up to 40 hours per week. Many students find work in hospitality, customer service, and food delivery, Casual roles in cafes, restaurants or delivery services.
Upon completing studies, students don’t have to rush home immediately, they can apply for a Job Seeking Residence Permit. This visa grants up to 9 months to stay legally in Hungary to find a job, Students can start PhD positions or research roles within major Hungarian universities and state laboratories.
